John Lindbergh Ellard Martin
MADISON-An Investigation by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department and the Department of Homeland Security resulted in the arrest of an assistant director at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison.
Charges were levied against John Lindbergh Ellard Martin, 57 after authorities searched the home of Martin and then shifted the search to St. John the Baptist Church and found multiple computers containing child pornography. The computers have been confiscated.
It has not been determined if illegal activity was carried out on church property. Investigators said leaders at St. John’s were cooperative. Authorities thanked the leaders for the help in the investigation.
Martin is being held on $30,000 bond and has been charged with child pornography possession and dissemination.
