Christopher Scott Gray, 43, of Florence passed away at his home after a lengthy illness.
The graveside service, with military honors, will be Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Dr. Frank Whitaker will officiate. Elkins Funeral Home, Florence, is assisting the family.
Scott grew up in Florence and was a member of the Florence Swim Team. He attended Coffee High School and graduated from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Navy six years and was a member of American Legion Post #11. He had retired as a long-distance truck driver for Service One.
He is survived by his children Zachary Gray of Lebanon, TN and Ashlie Gray of Weatherby, Missouri; sister Stephanie Gray White of Birmingham; mother Elizabeth Ann Johnson of Florence; nephews Nathaniel and Christian White; best friend Rob Foshee.
He was preceded in death by his father David Gray.
