Christopher Otto SebastianChristopher Otto Sebastian, age 32 of Huntsville, AL passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Chris was a brilliant, witty, fun loving and joyful light to all who knew and loved him.  He was born on June 30, 1992 and quickly embraced his big brother role being almost 2 minutes older than his twin brother Matthew.  He filled those shoes proudly as the oldest brother of 5.

His love of reading, singing and performing shifted into straight A’s, show choir and lead performances in High School.  His strong work ethic and inevitable leadership skills took him into management opportunities early in his career while graduating Summa Cum Laude and earning the highest academic achievement award in the College of Science at UAH.  Chris participated in several research projects and was President and a key member in the reinstitution of the UAH Biological Society.  He was accepted in the Marines as an Officer serving his country for 6 years.  He earned several awards and underwent 2 open heart surgeries prior to his honorable discharge in 2023.

His humor and laugh were contagious but best of all, Chris never lost his kind, compassionate heart for others.  His love of learning and appreciation of life inspired him to go back to school to become a Cardiologist.

Chris loved and was loved dearly by his mother, father, family, friends and cats.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents Edward and Dorothy Sebastian of Huntsville and Grandfather, Harold Colwell, Jr of Huntsville.

He leaves behind his parents, Christine Reed, Daniel Sebastian; brothers; Matthew, Joseph, Paul and Drew Sebastian, Grandmother, Patricia Colwell, several aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, family and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 1pm with a Memorial Service following at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Christopher’s honor to your charity of choice, The Wounded Warriors Project or The American Heart Association.
