Christopher Laine Ford, age 13, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 in the Hillville Community of Haywood County. Funeral Services will be held at Harmony Baptist Church on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Grover Westover, officiating. Burial will follow at the Harmony Baptist Cemetery. A Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN. Chris was born January 30, 2007, in New Albany, MS to Dewayne and Amanda Ash Ford. He was an 8th grader at Haywood Middle School in Brownsville, TN. He was a vibrant teenager who loved life, loved his family and loved the outdoors. He was one that enjoyed old country music. He enjoyed playing video games, hunting, fishing, hiking and especially enjoyed grappling for fish. He was raised in the Hillview Community and will long be remembered by his family, his friends, his school, and his community. He was a Christian and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents, Dewayne and Amanda Ford of Whiteville, TN; three brothers, Lawrence Dewayne Ford, Jr. of Potts Camp, MS, Andrew Ford and Westly Ford, both of Whiteville, TN; four sisters, Ashley Nowlin of Hickory Flat, MS, Kimberly Ford of Arlington, TN, Brandi Tanner and Kristen Ford, both of Potts Camp, MS; his grandfather, Lawrence Ford of Potts Camp, MS, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Brenda Rhynes, and his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Gene and Janie Ash. Pallbearers for the service are Dylan Sterling, Matthew Simmons, Scotty Ervin, Rodney Ervin, Tyler Russell, and David Lewis. In lieu of flowers, family has requested memorials be made to Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, c/o Judy Hardister, 523 Monroe Street, Brownsville, TN 38012. All funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
