Christopher Joseph Watkins, affectionately known by many as Chris, 56, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, was born on Saturday, September 23rd, 1967, and was received Home with great joy by our Heavenly Father, on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Jill Watkins; children, Travis (Taylor) Watkins and Morgan Watkins; grandchildren, Weston Watkins, Houston Watkins, Stetson Watkins, and Briella Watkins; sister, Cynthia “Cindy” (Tim) Leblanc; step-father, Greg Greenwald; “brother”, Mark Watkins. He was preceded in death by parents, Charles Watkins and Carolyn Maggio Watkins; brother, Craig Watkins.

Chris dedicated most of his professional life as being a First Responder from law enforcement to medical and fire. A gift giver by nature, he always was lending a helping hand even when people wouldn’t willingly accept it and was a protector above all. Beyond his professional life, Chris was a proud member of Generation Changers Church.

He was a simple man who loved to cook, collect watches, loved his dogs, and his cars, especially his past Corvettes. Chris cherished time spent with family and friends but lived for his family, specifically his kids- constantly bragging about them to anyone he had the privilege of crossing paths with, whether it was telling them about their accomplishments or showing them pictures. He was so proud of each and every one of them. Being “Grandpa” to all four of his grandbabies quickly became his biggest passion and ensured they were beyond spoiled.

Chris lived a life marked by warmth, leadership, and service. His immeasurable impact changed many lives, and he will not soon be forgotten.

The Celebration of Life Service, conducted by Pastor Barry Smith, will be held on Sunday, August 4th, 2024 at 05:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Generation Changers Church- Donelson Campus (224 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Nashville, TN 37214). The family will receive friends for a gathering prior to the service beginning at 04:00 p.m.
