Christopher Jarrod Mosteller was a beloved Christian, father, husband, son, friend, music lover and so much more. Jarrod loved being outside, listening to music way too loud and being silly. Jarrod had a heart for helping others especially those who couldn’t help themselves at the time. He understood how blessed our lives have been and wanted to be a blessing for others where we could. He did many things to bless others that no one would ever know about. He wanted everyone feel a small blessing and have a moment to smile.
Jarrod’s happy place and the place that make him smile was music. We went to concerts and festivals all over the US. Live music, the atmosphere around the music, and the moments where you could let loose and be free. Jarrod would say “Music is the medicine that heals your soul” and I could not believe this more. So today and the days ahead I will sing a song in my heart and know that note by note God is healing my soul.
I don’t know the words to write to speak the profound heartache that we feel at this moment. What I do want to take this opportunity to tell everyone is “Be the Light”. Jarrod wanted to show kindness to others no matter what their background was, where they stood in the status of the world or who they were. The best way to honor his legacy is to smile at strangers, let people know when you think about them and that you love them, and praise God for every moment that you have.
Psalm 46: 10 He says “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
