Christopher Clay Banks, age 39 of Huntland, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester. A native of Franklin County, he was born on September 22, 1981 to Carl Ricky Banks and Regenia Swafford Teel. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, and trapping, but his true passion was gamefowl. He was a hardworking, dedicated, and one of a kind guy that will be missed dearly by his family. He was preceded in death by his granddaddy that he adored, Nolan Swafford, grandfather, Carl Banks, and grandparents, Emmett and Mildred Edwards. Chris is survived by his wife, Brandy Maddox of Huntland; sons, Matthew Banks, Tyler Banks, both of Huntland; mother, Regenia (William) Teel of Elora; father, Carl Banks of Belvidere; brother, Eric (Jennifer) Banks of Huntland; step-father, Boyce Edwards of Flintville; grandmothers, Dorothy Swafford of Huntland, Linda Strope of Belvidere; uncles and aunts, Ric Swafford of Kennesaw, GA, Angela Maxwell of Decherd, Mark (Debbie) Swafford of Winchester, Chris (Jane) Edwards of Fayetteville, and Carolyn Greenwood of Flintville. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A Graveside service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Huntland.
