Mr. Christopher “Chris” Ray Phillips, age 58, of McMinnville, TN passed away on Tuesday, December 03, 2024 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born on June 10, 1966 in Decatur, Georgia, was an employee of Bridgestone Tires, was a U.S. Army Veteran, and was of the Methodist faith. Chris was a fishing enthusiast, loved history, and participated in re-enactments. He enjoyed learning everything he could about the Civil War and Revolutionary battles, and he was active in seeking out family genealogy. He was a proud member of the Sons of the Confederacy.
Chris is survived by his parents Dr. Ray and Marie Phillips, sisters Meredith Phillips (Jonathan) Watkins and Dr. Melodie Phillips (Aaron) Sorensen, his best friend ~ Bella (Chihuahua), aunts Paulette (Bobby) Robinson and Linda (Homer) Simpson, and nieces Annabella Sorensen, Madeleine Sorensen, and Mackenzie Watkins.
The graveside funeral service for Christopher Phillips will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 06, 2024 at Centertown Cemetery. Dr. James Clardy will officiate. Interment will immediately follow. Visitation with the Phillips family will be held at McMinnville Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M.
