Christopher “Chris” Mayo, 41, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Born on July 17, 1983, to Joseph Mayo and Trina Davis, Chris lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.

Chris was a man of the outdoors, finding joy in hunting, fishing, kayaking, camping, and exploring the beauty of nature. With a quick wit and a great sense of humor, he brought smiles to everyone who knew him. A highly skilled welder, he was admired for his craftsmanship and dedication. Above all, Chris was a devoted family man—the best father and grandfather anyone could ask for—and a second father to many of his daughters’ friends. His kindness and warmth meant he truly never met a stranger.

For 22 years, Chris shared his life with his beloved wife and soulmate, Lisa Mayo, building a beautiful family and creating countless cherished memories.

Chris is survived by his wife, Lisa; his daughters: Hannha Mayo, Haley Mayo, Aliea Mayo, Christin Mayo, and Stacey Lewis; and his grandchildren: Tatum Collier, Kasen Collier, Emersyn Mayo, Bryliegh Lewis, Jace Lewis, and a precious grandbaby on the way; sister: Jennifer (Christopher) Taylor; and niece and nephew: Amilie and Armani Taylor. He is also survived by his parents, Joseph Mayo and Trina Davis. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Travis Davis; and grandparents: George and Okie Mayo and Ross and Betty LeMay.

A celebration of Chris’s life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the service begins. Following the service, Chris will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Chris’s legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
