Christine Renee SampsonChristine Renee Sampson, 64 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Mrs. Sampson was born on April 12th, 1960, in Limestone County, to Tommy and Mamie Hall Coleman.

Mrs. Sampson is survived by her husband Daniel Sampson; children Trey Sampson (Roberta) and Trenton Sampson; grandchild River Walker Sampson; siblings Jeff Coleman (Marcheita), Brian Coleman, and Kevin Coleman; and nieces and nephews Gabby, Hanah, Bethany, Brandy, Brittany, Brooke, Adam, and Preston.

She is preceded in death by her son Micah Sampson; her parents Tommy and Mamie Coleman; and brother Darryl Coleman.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sampson will be Saturday, July 27th, 2024, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Tim Anderson and Caleb Gooch officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lentzville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Downs, Roger Jones, John Logston, David Johnson, Gary Thacker, and Tony Urby. Pat Williams will be an honorary pallbearer.

Mrs. Sampson was a special lady. She enjoyed yard work, gardening, crocheting, cooking, and canning. She had a servant’s heart, with a tireless devotion to others. She worked the card ministry at Clements Baptist Church, where she was a member for 15 years. She dearly loved her grandson River, and spending time with him. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to “Clements Baptist Church Shine Ministry.”
