Christine Mitchell, 77, of Florence died Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Westminister Assisted Living in Decatur.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Elkins Funeral Home Florence from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at 12 PM, with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member at Killen United Methodist Church. She was retired from Lauderdale County School System as a Librarian.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband, Larry Mitchell; daughter, Laura Horton (Stacy); son, Chris Mitchell (Angela); grandchildren, Haley Mitchell Newton (Matt), Allison Young, Lyndsey Young, Easton Horton, and Chalie Horton.
Pallbearers will be Rocky Adkins, Matt Newton, Stacy Horton, Easton Horton, Carl Kelley, and Lee Butler. Honorary pallbearers will be Sunday School Class 10 of Killen United Methodist Church.
