After a two-year battle with cancer, Christine A. Bonen passed away peacefully in Huntsville on January 1, 2020, at the age of 58.
Chris is survived by her husband Lin Bonen, daughter Lindsey (Adam) Coppens, son Matthew Bonen, mother Trudy Jaeger, all of Huntsville, and brother Michael (Gretchen) Jaeger of Seattle. She is preceded in death by her father, Ron Jaeger. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church on January 4, 2020 at 9 a.m. The visitation will be at Berryhill Funeral Home on Friday, January 10, 2020, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with memorial services following.
Chris was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1961. After attending high school in Bartlett, Tennessee, she studied at Northern Arizona University and graduated in 1983 with a degree in accounting. Following their marriage in 1985, Chris and Lin established residence in Huntsville where she built a career in the home mortgage industry. She served as branch manager and loan originator for First Federal Mortgage, and over the years earned the respect and love of her colleagues and business associates.
Chris will be remembered for her extremely generous and compassionate spirit. Our hearts are broken at her loss, and as her family and friends, we will always, always miss her.
