Christi Michelle Melvin, 55, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, at her home in Jumpertown, MS. She was born August 24, 1968, to James and Opal Melvin. Ms. Christi spent her adult life caring for others as a nurse for more than 30 years. She enjoyed shopping and shooting guns. Ms. Christi held her family near to her heart. Spoiling her grandchildren made life sweeter.
A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 5, 2023, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Haskell Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Booneville Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Channing Green (Ali); two honorary sons, Jeffery “Bumpy” Gingery, and Ray Larkin; two daughters, Lakyn Embrey, and Riley Tate Embrey; one brother, Pat Melvin; one sister, Penny Bullard; six grandchildren, MJ, Payten, Axel, Karson, Kenzie, Carter-Lynn; one nephew, Bailey Melvin; and two nieces, Marissa Melvin, and Amberly Bullard.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Jason Russell, Steve Clark, Anthony Green, Ray Larkin, Jeffery “Bumpy” Gingery, and Brett Rutledge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Dowdy.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the funeral home. There will also be a visitation from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the funeral home.
