Christa Marianne Stout, age 74, died on January 21, 2016 at her home.
Christa was born on December 22, 1941 in Peenemude, Germany, to parents Heinz and Herta Meyer. She retired from UDS/Motorolla after working there for 26 years. Christa was a loving mother, who loved to cook for her family. She relished family gatherings. Christa was dedicated to gardening and her yard, as well as bird-watching. She loved going to the beach throughout her life. She loved the outdoors. Christa enjoyed thrifting with her friend Pam. She was close with her neighbors Barbara, Freeman, Ruth, Stuart, Loretta and Don.Christa loved to celebrate the holidays with her family. Her family and friends will always remember her as a strong, independent, and loving person.
Christa is survived by her sister, Margrit B. Hall and her three children, Sabine Stout Heffelfinger, Timothy Michael Stout, and Christopher Ellis Stout; and her three grandchildren, Ivy Heffelfinger-Ventura, Callie Savannah Stout, and Sterling Ellis Stout and one great grandson, Sebastian Luis Michael Ventura.
A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 2 P.M. at Asbury United Methodist Church. Ted Amey will officiate the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Christa’s life. The family will have visitation from 1:15 until service time.
The family would like to thank Hospice of North Alabama, Huntsville Hospital Systems Oncology Floor, Dr. Noel Estopinal and staff, Dr. Richard Gualtieri and staff, Dr. Peter Vevon and staff, and Dr. Judy Rawls and staff for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the American Cancer Society or Asbury United Methodist church.
