Mr. Chris Lee Lindsey, 47, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at his residence.

All of his life Chris was known to be an outstanding citizen. He was a member of the Cub Scouts as a child, and he was always involved in school activities from participating in school plays to sports. From the age of 6 years, he enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and soccer. He excelled in every sport that he played. Around 9, he added swimming to the mix and later added a state swimming title to his credit. He played varsity football for the Oakman Wildcats. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church from the age of 9 and was active in the church youth activities. He coached youth basketball and led the team to the Little League championship.

Chris moved to Arizona after graduation and attained an associate degree in computer science from the University of Arizona while working in the medical field. Chris Loved his friends and family dearly, but his two doggies had his heart!

Mr. Lindsey is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Lindsey; brothers Rodney Lindsey and Joseph Lindsey; grandparents Leon & Lovie Estes and Otis & Bertha Lindsey; and step-father Sam Montgomery.

He is survived by his wife Candice Brand Lindsey; mother Sarah Montgomery; son Austin Lee Lindsey; brother Jacob Lindsey; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pall Bearers will be Taylor Hulsey, Tyler Hulsey, Chad Burkett, Brandon Lawson, Rickey Posey, Tyler Lawson, Charlie Barber, and Dewayne Bice Honorary Pall Bearer.

Services: Visitation will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 1:30 PM in the Sam Hood Memorial  Chapel, with funeral services following at 2:30 PM.  Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.  Wayne Lee will officiate.
