FLORENCE-For the past few months, our dedicated Chloe’s Fund Volunteers have (safely) been culling through Estate and Yard Sales and received beautiful donated items from generous individuals. Our Fund has never amassed the quantity (and quality) of Sale Items it has to offer on May 21 & 22; we recommend you visit us early on our Sale days! All proceeds from item sales go directly into Chloe’s Fund – a nonprofit organization assisting with the medical needs of the Shelter animals. The Massive Yard/Estate Sale will be held Friday, May 21st and Saturday May 22nd from 7am until 2pm at the Florence Lauderdale Animal Services building – 3240 Roberson Road in Florence.

Chloe’s Fund was started in March of 2017 after Shelter volunteers, Glen and Debby Nelson lost their beloved dog of 16 years, Chloe. After Chloe’s passing, Debby set out on a mission to help as many sick and injured Florence-Lauderdale Animal Shelter animals as possible. Since its inception, Chloe’s Fund vetted countless numbers of cats and dogs suffering from various illnesses and in need of immediate medical attention and medication. Prior to Chloe’s Fund, the Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter could not treat every unwell cat or dog that entered its doors. Their only hope was the possibility of a rescue organization stepping up and financing the needed veterinary care. For those animals with costly medical bills predicted and no rescue hero in sight, our dedicated shelter employees were faced with heartbreaking decisions; these decisions never get easier and no one ever willingly wants to make them. With your continued help, Chloe’s Fund can keep saving the lives of hundreds of animals!
