China Christine Waller age 81 passed away Wednesday January 14, 2015 at the Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born October 26, 1933 in Henderson County, the daughter of the late Edgar and Mary Rowlett Ross. She attended schools in Henderson County. She married Joe Waller on December 23, 1951. They made their home near Luray, TN and moved to Henderson in the early 60’s. She worked at Schultz Manufacturing and later Chester Manufacturing, working until the factory closed and later worked at Miller’s Big Star. She was a wonderful mother raising two kids. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Waller passed away in 1994.
Mrs. Waller enjoyed square dancing at Magic Valley and Finger and enjoyed hanging out with her friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Ward and husband Bill of Henderson and a son, David Waller of Jackson; three grandchildren, Wendy Ward Mathenia, Nikki Waller Castles and Whitney Ward Scott and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Kindle of Lexington and Betsy Goff of Huron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Matthew Waller, a daughter-in-law, Vickie Barnes Waller, two sisters, Martha Williams and Vickie Johnson and three brothers, JR Ross, AJ Ross and Phil Ross.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating and burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday.
