Cheryl Pylant Mitchell, 73, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024. She was born Sunday, October 8, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky to Donald Larry Pylant and Merle Hodges Basman.
Mrs. Mitchell has lived in this area the majority of her life. She was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed crocheting, crafts, music, and was a musician.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim D. Pylant; and daughters, Jennifer Herkommer and April McDowell.
She is survived by her husband, Gowen Mitchell; son, Jasen Martin; brothers, Carey Pylant and Robert Rakoski; and sisters, Charlotte (Robert) Barber and Carol (Dan) Pylant; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; along with a host of friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 2:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. A Graveside service will follow at 3:00 P.M. at Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Lon Ostrzycki officiating.
