  F.2.22.24 Cheri Rogers.jpg Cheri Anne (Duggar) Rogers, 77, of Tampa, FL, departed this life to be with God our Father Jesus Christ in heaven on February 15, 2024. Born on 9 November 1946, in Haleyville, AL, she was the daughter of the late Carl Huey Duggar and the late Geneva Carolyn (Holcombe). She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Barr Rogers.

Cheri graduated from Coffee High School in 1965 and from St Mary’s College, Leavenworth, KS, with a degree in Psychology and Art in 1974. She had a Masters degree in Christian Counseling from Regents University, Virginia Beach, VA and volunteered at Willowbrook Baptist Church as a Christian Grief Counselor working with Grief Share support groups for many years.

She was truly God’s servant, loved Jesus with all her heart, and was the most gentle woman in the highest and best sense. Her quick wit and strong and unwavering Christian character were a hallmark of her time on this earth and was always an encouragement to her family and friends.

Cheri Anne is survived by one sister, Carlene (Duggar) Blackburn and her husband Alton Blackburn of Florence, AL; daughter-in-law, Tracy (Cloar) Rogers; three granddaughters, Haley Lygon Rogers, Alexandria Cora Rogers, and Skyla Scott Rogers, all of Tampa, FL; a nephew, several nieces and cousins. Cheri was preceded in death by two sons, John Scott of Atlanta, GA, and Carl Brian of Huntsville, AL; grandparents, William Judson Duggar of Russellville, AL, Mary Olivia Shirey of Russellville, AL, Francis Monroe Holcombe of Florence, AL, and Tishie Cora Bell (Howell) Holcombe of Hamilton, AL and step-grandmother, Pearl Clay, Florence, AL.
