Cheerie Thompson O’Rear, 93, peacefully passed away in Clearwater, Florida on August 3rd.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel O’Rear in 2013.
Cheerie was born in Jasper, attended Walker High School and lived most of her life there. She developed several businesses, attended college and attained certification as a dietician. She and Sam relocated to Florida in 2010. Cheerie and Sam traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
She is survived by her sons, Sam O’Rear and Rodney O’Rear, both of Florida. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens.
