Before her passing on September 30, Charlotte Weems Underwood lived a full life filled with gardening, baking, football games and love for her children and grandchildren. She faced her long term illness with dignity and courage.

A lifelong resident of Colbert County, Charlotte graduated from Colbert County High School where she was a majorette and was voted “Best Looking”. She married David Underwood in 1957, and had a long work career in accounting and medical services eventually working with her husband in their advertising business.

Charlotte was a loving, supportive wife and mother. Her favorite time of year was Christmas which she made magical for her children, grandchildren and friends with holiday fragrances, festive decorations and wonderful food. In her later years, she enjoyed reading, making home-made ice cream, vacations at the beach and caring for her beloved Chihuahua Holly. She was a life-long supporter of the University of Alabama.

Charlotte leaves her daughter Karla Turner (David), son Greg (Lisa), four grandchildren David III, Will and Charlotte Turner and Elizabeth Underwood, and many friends.

Private funeral services for the family will be held.
