Charlotte Windeknecht Charlotte Sue Windeknecht, age 90, of Clarksville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Tennova Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3 o’clock pm, Friday, July 26th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Rev. Larry Peters officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00PM until the hour of service at 3:00PM.

Mrs. Windeknecht was born on December 25, 1933 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to the late Clarence & Jessie Bishop. She enjoyed being with her family & friends, woodcarving, basket weaving, camping, hiking, reading, traveling, and her pets. She also loved her church family at Grace Lutheran Church in Clarksville where she was a member.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Windeknecht; brothers, Dorwin & Lonial Bishop; sister, Vivian Lang; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Lynn Windeknecht.

She is survived by her sons, Chris (Anita) Windeknecht of Pleasant View, Tn, and Todd (Mary) Windeknecht of Blue Grass, Iowa; daughter, Tereasa K. (Warren) Schmidt of Lake Elmo, Minnesota; grandchildren, Eric (Amy) Windeknecht, Mark Windeknecht, Katie (Stephen) Wheeler, Emily (Matt) Perry, Amanda (Jarrett) Sauceman, Aaron (Megan) Windeknecht, Anna (Mike) Miller, Beth Windeknecht, Greg Windeknecht, Christopher Schmidt, Brian (Cheryl) Schmidt, Candice (Mike) Grinage, and Shelley (Matt) Lohse; and 14 great-grandchildren.
