Charlotte Pitt WileyFuneral service for Charlotte Pitt Wiley, age 76, of Hartselle, will be Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home with Rev. Clifford Tomlinson and Rev. Melvin Hunter officiating. The burial will be at the Cedar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wiley died February 18, 2024, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born February 15, 1948, in Decatur to Billy “BF” Pitt and Frances “Jimmie” Pitt. Charlotte was a homemaker for 57 years, a substitute teacher for over 20 years for Falkville, and was also known as the writer of the Cedar Creek News for the Hartselle Enquirer for many years. She was an avid seamstress and could sew anything. Charlotte loved her church, Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Alabama football, camping, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents.

A host of nieces and nephews

Pallbearers will be Cade Wiley, Dustin Stephenson, Dustin Randolph, Terry Murphy, Eric Mullins, and Andy Mullins.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Cedar Creek Church Fund (mail to 1301 Cedar Creek Church Road, Hartselle, AL 35640) or to the Gideons International (P.O. Box 602, Hartselle, AL 35640) in Charlotte’s memory.
