Charlotte was a laborer and seamstress most of her life, and she worked hard until the day she was able to retire. She wasn’t a “whiner” or “complainer”, she was a provider in positions that she didn’t have to be. A provider in positions that she was compelled to be, to ensure the ones she loved didn’t have to endure the same struggles that she did. She was a “parent” and moral example to so many who weren’t her biological children, but all looked to her and admired her as a mother figure.
Ms. Rollins brought two beautiful children into the world, Chris Cagle and Tonya Smith. Chris and Tonya would say the same things about Ms. Rollins, and both share her gifts of hard work, principle, and welcoming others into their family. Ms. Rollins would say that the greatest accomplishments in her life are her three beloved grandchildren: Christy Phillips, Scott Helms and Lucas Smith. Scott was taken home by the Lord tragically in 2022, but nevertheless, he spent his life bringing joy and smiles to every path he crossed. Her granddaughter Christy is a moral picture image of Ms. Rollins herself: spreading her warmth, kindness, and selflessness to others. Her grandson Lucas, the “baby”, just graduated high school and is an ambitious, kind, and caring man himself. All traits he undoubtedly received from Ms. Rollins.
Charlotte Rollins is survived by her Son Christopher Cagle (Wanda Cagle), Daughter Tonya Smith, Grandchildren Christy Phillips (Dillon Phillips), Lucas Smith, Terry Helms, Bri Oeth and Nova Oeth, Brother Stanley Rollins, Cousin Della Clark and numerous nieces and nephews.
As mentioned above, she is also survived by the many people whose lives were enriched by Ms. Rollins, all of whom she considered family.
She was preceded in death by Father Raymond D. Rollins, Mother Ruth McCormack, Sister Beatrice Green, Stepmother JoAnn Rollins, Grandson Scott Helms, and numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
