Funeral Services for Mrs. Charlotte Hamlin Hammock, age 77 of Lineville, will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Union D. Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Douglas Moody and Rev. Pat Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Hammock passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at RMC in Anniston. She was born in Alabama and has lived most of her life in Clay County. She was a graduate of Lineville High School, and worked in the Chenelle textile Mills, Liberty Overhaul, and 5 star catering. She also drove a school bus for Cleburne County Schools and lastly worked for Wellborn Cabinets in the mail delivery department. Mrs. Hammock had several hobbies, which included gardening, camping, and taking care of her two dogs, Pablo and Willow. She was heavily involved in the Shinbone community. She was a volunteer for the Shinbone Valley Fire Department, was over the community Bingo night, and supported grieving families by providing food or necessities during their time of need. Mrs. Hammock had a wonderful, loving personality, was always smiling and laughing, and people were naturally drawn to her. Mrs. Hammock was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Hammock is survived by her husband of 37 years, Duey Hammock; one son, Chuck Brimer (Jennifer); four grandchildren: Bailey, Jaleigh, Charlee, and Parker Brimer; one sister, Joan Hamlin Hurst (James) of the Shinbone Community; plus several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert Hobson and Louneal Hurst Hamlin; one son, Timothy Brimer; and two brothers: Doug and Donald Hamlin.
Active Pallbearers will be Johnny Hamlin, Rusty Hamlin, J.P. Hamlin, Tony Hamlin, Gene Hamlin, Trent Smith, and Todd Hurst.
Her visitation will take place on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Union D. Baptist Church from 12:30 P.M> until service time at 2:00 P.M.
