Charlie Richard Lenz died April 27, 2020 after an extended illness at Athens Limestone Hospital.
A precious child of God who loved to share the Gospel and serve.
He worked for years in the farming industry, John Deere Parts, and at Limestone County Cooperative.
He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church Highway 72 in Athens. Serving at Emmanuel in several roles, including, Deacon, Greeter, VBS worker, and as part of the Mission and Hospitality Team.
Attended Sheffield and Muscle Shoals High School and University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
His retirement years have been spent serving with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief where ever they were called.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Lawley Lenz, children Jonathan Lenz(Haylee), Matthew Lenz(Sable), Drew Lenz(Brandi), Jennifer Johnson(Bruce), Jason Perkins(Beverly).9 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grand Child.
Siblings Vickie Ford(Mike), Bennie Lenz(Donna), and Eddie Lenz.
