Charlie Phillips Barton, age 85, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, former owner of Barton Tires, retired car salesman, and an avid horse trader. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Lawrence County Coon Hunters Association, Bridle & Saddle Club, Crimestoppers, and Henryville United Methodist Church. Mr. Barton served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sampson Dewey and Lora Alice Phillips Barton; his first wife, Sumika Barton; one daughter, Vickie Barton; and six siblings, Arlene Stockard, Roy Barton, Joe Barton, Arthur “Hoover” Barton, Grady Barton, and Margie Dean Barton.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, February 19, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 20, 2016, with Larry Spears officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN with military honors.
