Charlie Guy Tipton, 94 of Huntsville, AL passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at his home. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Evie Tipton; wife, Virginia Josephine Tipton; son, Frank Tipton; five brothers, three sisters and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Guy Tipton (Trish); three grandchildren, Todd Tipton (Chrea), Clay Tipton (Lenzy), and Cameron Tipton; great grandson, Noah Tipton; sisters, Ginnie Brigman, Mildred Stephenson, Polly Putman (Lewis).
Mr. Tipton was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. He retired from Thiokol after 38 years of outstanding service. Charlie was an avid Alabama Football fan, and loved to watch all types of sports.
You may visit with the family on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00pm in Valhalla’s Celebration Chapel. Pallbearers will be Don Hall, Richard Spencer, Kenneth Jones, William Bell Todd Tipton and Clay Tipton. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Jones, Billy Ray Patterson, Billy Aycock and Noah Tipton. Entombment will immediately follow service at Valhalla Memory Gardens at Building D Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Locust Grove Baptist Church or Kindred Hospice in Charlie’s memory.
