Charlie Byron McCay, 64 of Arab passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, at Marshall Medical Center North. Charlie was born August 30, 1958 in Blount County the son of Charlie JD McCay and Shelby Jean Armstrong McCay. He owned and operated Tri County Roofing for 15 years before retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Mary “Frankie” Parr McCay; children: Kristy McDonald (Bryan), Mandy McCay, Ryan McCay (Katie Purselly) and Tessa McCay; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brother: David Jeffery McCay (Rhonda); host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: JD and Shelby McCay; sister: Patricia Tidmore and brother: Phillip McCay.
The family has chosen cremation with a private celebration of life later. Gober Funeral Chapel assisted the McCay with cremation arrangements.
