Charley O’Neal “Bud” McNatt – Obituary

Charley O’Neal “Bud” McNatt, 65, of Red Bay, Alabama, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at his residence. He was born in the Halltown community and worked for Red Bay Housing Authority. He attended First United Methodist Church in Halltown.

Services will be on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 3:30 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Alabama, with Brother Scott Lindsey and Brother Bill Harper officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina, Alabama. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama, will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are two sons, Clayton McNatt and Levi McNatt, both of Red Bay, Alabama; the mother of his children, Janice Armstrong McNatt, Red Bay, Alabama; stepson, Jason Oliver, Tucson, Arizona; father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Lavell Mayfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy McNatt and Verda Barksdale McNatt, and two sisters, Linda Davis and Betty Jo Noble.

Pallbearers will be Johnnie Weatherford, Wade Barksdale, Alton Barksdale, Randy Rogers, Norris Paul Rogers, and Mark Armstrong.

Visitation will be today from 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama, and until service time Wednesday.
