Charles William Martin, age 69, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Monday, May 8, 2023, at his residence.
He was a native of Lawrence County, the son of the late Robert Martin and Mary Magdalene Porter Martin. He was a Factory Supervisor in Shelbyville. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching any type of car racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Edgar Martin, Jr., and Raymond Martin; sisters, Eloise Rochelle, Elizabeth Ray, and Phyllis Martin.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary E. Martin of Lewisburg; one son, Charles Brandon Martin of Shelbyville; two daughters, Miranda (Keith) Gabbes of Hendersonville, and Chasity (Kory) Pleas of Lewisburg; five grandchildren, Aiden Gabbes, Kacy (Anastasia) Pleas, Kara Pleas, Dakota Blackwell, Baily Blackwell; four great grand children; three brothers, Johnny J.W. (Barbara) Martin, Upperstrasburg, PA, Phillip (Linda) Martin of Lawrenceburg, and Bobby (Cindy) Martin of Lewisburg; four sisters, Mary Jo Lee of Lafayette, Betty Luttrell of Clarks Hill, IN, Margaret (Charlie) Norwood of Pulaski, and Clara Mae Roberts of Leoma.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 11:00 am from the Chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091, with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Chapel of London Funeral Home.
