It is with regret that we announce the death of Charles W. Parks, age 63, of Sparta, TN, formerly of the Champ community in Lincoln County. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021, at 11:00 am at Higgins Funeral Home with his nephew, Daniel Mullinax officiating. Burial will follow in Kelso Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 5pm to 8pm at Higgins Funeral Home.
Charles was born September 23, 1958, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Margie Bennett Culbreath and Charles Rufus Parks who survives. He was a retired cattle farmer. Charles passed away December 9, 2021, at Standing Stone Care and Rehab in Monterey, TN.
Along with his father, survivors include his daughter Ashley (Wade) Matthew of Sparta; brothers, Brian (Mary) Parks of Huntsville, AL, Scott (Jennifer) Parks of Parks City, and Michael (Michelle) Culbreath of Huntsville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sarah Parks, and grandson, Augustus Matthew.
