Charles W. Davidson – Obituary

Charles W. Davidson, 85, died Friday, December 28, 2018 at NMMC.  He was born in Franklin County, AL to William Taft and Gertrude Taylor Davidson. He worked as an accountant for Lockheed and also as a cattle farmer.  He attended Atwood Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 31, 3 p.m. at Atwood Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Atwood Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by three children-Charles L. Davidson (Kim) of Tyler, TX, Richard S. Davidson (Georganne) of Lawrenceville, GA and Gail Wade (Bob) of Mableton, GA; his adopted son-Gary Davidson of FL; twelve grandchildren-David Davidson, Daniel Davidson, Timothy Davidson, Hannah Davidson Riekelman, Lily Davidson, James Davidson, Jennifer Davidson Bush, Larissa Davidson, Rachael Wade, Robby Wade, Ben Davidson and Brooklyn Davidson; two great-grandchildren-June and Elaina Riekelman; two brothers-James Royce “Bud” Davidson and Tommy Davidson; two sisters-Shirley Hindman and Margie Upton and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife-Carolyn Davidson; his parents; daughter-Lisa Davidson and one sister-Shelby Oliver.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Monday, December 31, 2-3 p.m. at Atwood Baptist Church.
