Charles T. “Tommy” Moran, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was known as “Big Mo” to many. Tommy was born on August 5, 1941 to Augustus Moran and Lora Foster Moran. He was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. Tommy worked at Foster Beverage Company for many years. He was the owner of Mo’s Grocery over 20 years. He was a people person that loved to cook and enjoyed feeding people. He had a heart of gold and was loved by many. Tommy was an avid fisherman of which was his favorite hobby and past time. He loved watching sports and old westerns as well. Tommy adored his family and loved spending time with his grands and great grands.
He is survived by his daughter, Kim Post and son, Bryan Moran, both of Tupelo; grandchildren, Devon Moran and Charleigh Robinson; great grandchildren, Rivers and Kingston. He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life Carolyn Waddle Moran.
Services will be held at the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 2PM with Bro. David Smith Officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon – service time Tuesday only. Private burial will follow in Tupelo Memorial Park. Those who cannot attend may view the service at 2PM on Tuesday or any time after at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/livestreaming. Holland Funeral Directors are honored to be serving their friends.
Pallbearers will be Charles Duke, Chris Shackleford, Joe Fowler , Butch Collier, Rob Post, Scott Montague, and Kirk Kennedy.
