Charles Steven Olney Charles Steven Olney, 68 of Athens, Alabama, passed away on October 18th, 2023, in Limestone County. He was born on November 9th, 1954, to parents Charles Olney and Oma Jackson.

Mr. Olney is survived by his wife of 38 years Michele Olney; his son Shane Steven Olney (Renee); his sister Kathleen Farrar (Edward); and 2 grandchildren Truett Olney and Garrett Olney.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Donnie Stamps

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 23rd, 2023, at Cowboy Church of Limestone County at 5pm with Rodney Sanders officiating.

Charles Steven Olney was a proud soldier of 20 years in the U.S. Army and supported The Army after retirement for another 20 years. After serving in the military, his passion for God led him to become pastor of the Cowboy Church of Limestone County, which led to working with other Cowboy Churches throughout. Charles was an avid fisherman, hunter, and cowboy. He was a friend to everybody and never met a stranger. Mr. Olney was a great husband, father, grandfather, and brother; he loved God and loved life.
