Charles Reese Foster, age 94, of Summertown, TN passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. He was a native of Summertown, TN, retired from Union Carbide, of the Church of God Faith, and a member of American Legion Post 146 in Loretto, TN. Mr. Foster served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Thelma Bryant Foster; his wife, Frances Dean Foster; one son, Steve Foster; one daughter, Reba Foster; three sisters, Marie Buie, Ethlene Staggs, and Betty Sue Taylor; and one brother, James B. Foster.
He is survived by three daughters, Patsy Bradley (Homer) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Ann Parrott of Summertown, TN, and Martha Chapman (Harold) of Mount Pleasant, TN; two sons, Chris Foster (Connie) and Tim Foster, both of Summertown, TN; one daughter-in-law, Lynn Foster of Mount Pleasant, TN; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Ashworth of Summertown, TN and Mildred Brown (Johnny) of Columbia, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment with full military honors will be conducted at Pleasant Garden Cemetery at 1:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2020, with Thomas Mattox officiating.
