Charles Raymond Landrum, 93, of Florence, passed away July 23, 2020 in the company of both of his loving sons. He was a WWII veteran; Red Cross First Aid and swimming instructor, Florence patrolman; motor officer; Sgt. Investigator, Reynolds Metals Salary Supervisor; Chief of Civil Defense, 32nd Degree Free Mason who received his 33rd Degree; a Charter member of Underwood-Petersville Volunteer Fire Department; 67 year member of I.B.E.W.; International Chaplin of Avion Travelcade; and Sunday school teacher at his Baptist church. He was a man who loved the outdoors, company of others, sharing conversations, his wit and sense of humor.

 

Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2020 from 12-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kevin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Tri Cities Memorial Gardens.

 

Pallbearers will be Ben Graves, Brad Homes, Jake Dennison, Cameron Glen, Jimmy Hill, and Keith Williams.

 

Mr. Landrum was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Gwendolyn; brothers, H.W., Donald, Larry, and Leon.

 

He is survived by sons, Sam Landrum, and Mark Landrum (Kathy); grandsons, Zac (Samantha) Kyle; great grandchildren, Amirra Rose, Zachary Mark II, and C.J. Mercer; sisters, Martha Holt, Barbara Johnson, and Wanda Burks; and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
