Charles Ray Helums, 74, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Lincoln Medical Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee.
Born Monday, April 24, 1939 in Ardmore, Alabama, he was the son of the late Howard Helums and the late Nettie Edwards Helums. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
He was a life-long member of the American Angus Association, enjoyed showing classic cars, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are wife, Gale Helums, Taft, TN; sons, Jeff (Susan) Helums, Taft, TN, Jason (Lisa) Helums, Taft, TN, Justin (Toni) Helums, Taft, TN, six Grandchildren; Meghan Helums, Morgan Helums, Lindsey Helums, Jentry Helums, Kyle Helums, Kaitlyn Helums.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
