Charles Ray Blake – Obituary

Funeral service for Charles Ray Blake, 82, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Ed Hays officiating with interment in Cullman City Cemetery.

Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Blake passed away Saturday, May 16th, 2015 at Hanceville Nursing Home & Rehab. He was born November 30, 1932 to parents, Ulmer & Willie Herring Blake. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired after 37 years with Brunos Foods. He was married to Ruby Aderholt Blake on March 8, 1953.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Reynold Blake, Elgin Blake; sisters, Evelyn Hagood, Elizabeth Mize and Alice Starkley.

She is survived by his wife of 62 years and children, Donna Wise, Dianna (Jim) Jenkins; grandchildren, Jimmy (Laura) Jenkins, Les (Ginger) Jenkins and great grandson, Lakelan Jenkins. Lakelan loved his PaPa Blake. Brother, Allen Blake, Sister, Ruth Ledford; Brother-in-law, Porter Aderholt; dear friends, John Pate and Morris Wilson; his two loving dogs, Shena and Sebastian; a host of nieces and nephews that over the years have loved “Uncle Pie Joe”.

Visitation will be Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.
