Charles Rabon Lowery, age 87, of Florence passed away on September 23, 2024. Visitation and services will be held at Williams Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday evening September 25, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Howell Bigham and Thomas Thornton officiating. The burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Inman, Chris James, Haegan Parrish, Jayden Thompson, Craig Michael, Mike Suggs, Chris Tank and Tim Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Danny McFall, Dr. John Young, and Dr. Dustin Hyatt.
He is preceded by his parents, Henry and Gladys Lowery.
Rabon is survived by his wife of 48 years, Frances Lowery. Three children, Charles Lowery, Rhonda Lowery, and Keith Inman (Tanya). His sister, Geneva Cole (James). Five grandchildren, Mandy Bryant, Chrissie Smith, Chris James, Dalton Inman, and Ginger Bates. Seven great-grandchildren, Kelsi Spain, Brayley Thompson, Hagen Parrish, Branden Bates, Lane Bates, Kruise Bates, and Hayley Williams. Eight great-great-grandchildren, Maggie, Silas, Dakota, Rae, Aston, Jayden, Charley and Maddox.
Rabon attended First Baptist of Cloverdale where he served as the music director and recently was a member of Fairview Baptist. He was a devoted husband to Frances and a loving daddy and papaw. He loved to travel and camp. He enjoyed singing southern gospel and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to others. Rabon will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature, his love for his family and especially little Maggie.
