Charles Pressnell, 81 of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Pressnell was born on October 17th, 1941, in Athens, to Joe Allen Pressnell and Josie Graviet Pressnell.
Mr. Pressnell is survived by his son Marcus Pressnell, of Decatur; daughter Karen Mullinax (Fred), of Lyons, Georgia; sister Jessie Smith, of Athens; brother Glen Pressnell; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Josie Pressnell; wife Barbara Reeves Pressnell; infant sons Eric Heath Pressnell and William Darren Pressnell; sisters Mary Fitch, Dot Roberts, Lucille Yarbrough, and infant Pauline Pressnell; brothers Odie Pressnell, Paul Pressnell, Ernest Pressnell, and James Pressnell.
A graveside service for Mr. Pressnell will be Sunday, February 26th, 2023, at 2:00pm at Bottoms Cemetery, with Tim Keenum officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00-1:30pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Steve Pressnell, Jerry Yarbrough, Mike Pressnell, Gerald Smith, Larry Cross, and Jeff Mooneyham.
Mr. Pressnell was a member of First Independent Methodist Church.
