Charles Newton Tidmore, age 76 of Arab Alabama died Monday August 15, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital.
Charles was born November 9, 1939 in Marshall County Alabama to Albert Tidmore and Manier Bradley Tidmore. He lived in Arab most of his life and worked for Arab Hospital in Maintenance and later as a Currier for Marshall Medical Centers until his retirement. Charles was married to the former Judy Ann Collins for 55 years. He loved horses and worked for 43 years with the AQHA organizing shows at the Pioneer Saddle Club Arena.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Judy Ann Tidmore; two sons and daughters- in-law: Keith and Michelle Tidmore, Sid and Jenni Tidmore; grandchildren: Joshua Keith and Kendall Tidmore, Coty Charles and Kaycie Tidmore, Courtney Marie Tidmore and fiancé’ Chase Brooks, Megan Dawn Tidmore; great grandchildren: McKennah Marie Tidmore, Laynie Elizabeth Tidmore, Cian Charles Tidmore, Matthew Aryes Tidmore, Kennan Michael Tidmore and Chasin Porter Brooks; a sister and brother-in-law: Lynn and Marlon Walker; nieces and nephews: Kellie Walker and Ron Strange, Carol and Rick Vezina, Randy Bennett and Gary Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Manier Tidmore; a grandson: Matthew Charles Tidmore; a sister: Dorothy Bennett and a nephew Layne Walker.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 21, 2016 at New Canaan Baptist Church with Brother: Jerry Burgett officiating. Burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday August 20, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. He will also lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
