Charles MillerCharles Miller, age 82, of Baileyton, passed away on October 20, 2024, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Miller was born in Etowah County to William and Hazel Miller.
He retired from Mueller after 30 years. He was an Army veteran. He was a minister for many years and devout in his love and faith of his Lord and Savior. He loved Alabama football, hunting, his country, his family, and working on automobiles.
He is preceded in death by his parents; William and Hazel Miller, brothers; Alford, Glenn, James, and Noah, and sister; Anne.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years; Janice, children; John (Sharon) Miller and April (John) Arthur, grandchildren; Jordan (Brittnee) Miller, Wyatt Miller, Samara (Cordell) McNair, and Natalie McBrayer, great grandchildren; Lilah McNair and Jenson Miller, sister; Dean Spence, and brother; Howard Miller.
The funeral service will be 12 noon Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Albertville Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2024, at the funeral home. Bro. Dion Carroll, Bro. Glenn Miller, Jr., and Bro. Butch Suddath will officiate. The pallbearers will be grandsons; Jordan Milller, Wyatt Miller, Cordell McNair, Chris Burkett, Dion Carrol, and Art Dyson. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Bright and Mr. Miller’s nephews.
The family would like to thank Hospice of North Alabama and his nurses Michelle and Keith.
