Charles Micheal “Big Mike” Bryan, age 52 of Grand Junction, Tennessee
Mr. Bryan passed away Monday evening at the Bolivar General Hospital.
A native of Somerville, he is survived by his parents, Nancy Bryan of Holly Springs, MS and Charles Frank Bryan (Pat) of Moscow, TN. He had lived the past 25 years in Grand Junction, where he served at Chief of the Grand Junction Fire Department and was a long-time employee of the city.
He was a 1982 graduate of Marshall Academy in Holly Springs and attended both Mississippi State University and Ole Miss. Mr. Bryan was employed as Collection Supervisor for the Somerville Utilities Department and also operated his own lawn care business. A member of the West Memorial Baptist Church, he was a community leader, who never met a stranger, and will be lovingly missed. In his leisure time, he enjoyed amateur photography, computer technologies and spending time with family.
In addition to his parents, he leaves three sisters, Michele Carter (Jay) and Cris Bryan, both of Canton, MS and Charlee Bryan of Maryland; his grandmother, Virginia “Chigger” Bryan of Somerville; aunt and uncle, Jenny and Rich Schaub; nieces and nephews, Joshua, Kate and Jacob Carter; and cousins, Amanda Carle, Mike Schaub and Ashley Bryan.
Mr. Bryan was preceded in death by grandparents, James M. Bryan; Richard and Juanita Walls.
