Funeral service for Charles Mack Overton, 73, will be Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Kinney officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Overton died on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his residence. He was born October 11, 1948, in Cullman County, to Culver Mack Overton and Marian Thomas Overton, who preceded him in death.
Charles attended Falkville High School and was a member of the class of 1966. He served in the Army Reserve. Charles received a diploma of Biblical Studies from Agape Bible Institute in Cullman, Alabama.
He was employed by Monsanto-Solutia for over 36 years in the maintenance department, prior to his retirement. Charles was known by many as a cowboy and avid horse rider. He also loved to be in his shop doing body work and painting cars. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was married to his wife, Becky for 55 years.
