Charles L. Reynolds of Melbourne, Florida, passed to his eternal reward on July 8, surrounded by family.

Born and raised in Morgan County, he graduated from Auburn University in 1965, beginning a four-decade labor of love designing and building aerospace hardware to support our nation’s space program from Huntsville and Melbourne. His work included the Apollo, Skylab, and ASTP shuttle programs. In 2006, Charles retired from United Space Alliance in order to spend more time with his family.

His tenacious and enduring sense of humor blessed all who crossed his path, and was a special joy to his friends and family. He is best remembered as a loving husband and father, a master storyteller, and a humble and selfless man who loved God and country.

Charles is survived by Ann, his wife of 37 years, and their three children, and their spouses, Susan (Jason), Laura (Thomas) and David (Shelly), his sister, Jeane, and his brother, Tommy.

His funeral service will be Saturday, July 13 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Atlanta.
