Charles Junior Davis, 74, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Cornerstone Health and Rehab in Corinth. Mr. Davis was a member of Old Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a member of the North Crossroads community since 1968, and was a farmer and logger. He enjoyed his horses and spending time with his family. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, June 17, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, at New Salem Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time. Services will be officiated by Rev. Stanley Magill. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Louise Davis of Iuka, MS; two daughters, Linda Taylor and husband, Dennis, of Corinth, MS, and Shelia Prather and husband, Franky, of Iuka, MS; one son, Charles Rogers and wife, Toni, of Iuka, MS; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, O. L. Robinson and wife, Faye, of Memphis, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lessie Robinson Davis; and a brother, William Davis. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Salem Cemetery Fund.
