Charles Holloway Fears, 65, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at his home in Smithville. Born on February 7, 1957, he was a son to Rex Young and Helen Holloway Fears. He attended school in Fulton, and he was a self-employed mechanic; however, he could do just about do anything from taxidermy to greenhouses and he met a challenge head on. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. Raised in a big family, his family was very important to him, and he loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He attended New Hope Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Moffett, Bobby Cleveland, and Bro. Earl Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Young Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Fears of Smithville; one son, Chris Fears (Larissa) of Hernando; brothers, Joey Fears of Smithville, Bobby Fears (Zora) of Hatley, and Dennis Fears (Sandra) of Amory; sister, Peggy Cadden (Roger) of Amory; his grandchildren, Coey and Harper Fears; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Eddie Fears and Jamie Fears; and a sister, Donna Fears.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Little, Harold Hathcock, Earl Vance, Donald Plunkett, Fred Borman, and Paul Upton.
Visitation will be from 11 until service time on Friday.
