Mr. Charles Henry Henson, age 64, died Monday, September 28, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on July 22, 1956 to G.L. Henson and Edna Stewart Henson. After graduating high school in Marion Arkansas, he continued his studies with 2 years of college. Henry married Julia Ann Wasin of Osceola, AR on May 27, 1978. They moved to Tupelo from Osceola, AR ten years ago where they had lived for 40 years. He retired after 40 years of employment with American Greeting Cards. He enjoyed being a member of the Monday Night Pickers, watching movies and old TV shows. He loved his cats.
Henry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Julia W. Henson of Tupelo; his son, Brent Henson of Tupelo; one brother, Jamie Henson of Georgia; three sisters, Martha Griffin and Doris Brandon, both of Newbern, TN, and Brenda Booth McCormick of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Matthew Henson, and brother, Jim Henson.
Services are private to the family. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
