Mr. Charles Harris Martin age 94 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away Monday, November 04, 2024 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. He was born in McMinnville, TN on August 15, 1930, was a member of Una Church of Christ, had served as an Elder in the West Huntsville Church of Christ, and had the privilege of preaching some in a few of the country churches of Christ. Charles earned his Bachelor’s Degree, was a retired engineering tech at NASA, obtained his Pilot’s License, greatly enjoyed doing Mission work, and just loved fishing. Mr. Martin was a veteran and served his country in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his daughter Pamela Leptic and Deana (Mitchell) Frederick, sister Shirley Womack, grandchildren Mitzi McKinnon, Marisa (Chris) Hester, Jill Frederick, Quintin (Brandi) Frederick, Heath (Sarah) Frederick, and Michell Trebilcock, 10 great grandchildren, 3 sisters-in-law, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends. Preceding him in death were his parents James Thurman Martin and Mattie Lee Durham Martin, wife Billye Joyce Maynard Martin, son-in-law Sergeant Bill Leptic, and grandson Mitchell Lee Frederick.
The funeral service for Charles H. Martin will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 08, 2024, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Todd Elliott will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
